Tax Product Manager – Financial Services

About the role

The Tax Product Manager will be responsible for maintaining and expanding Clearstream’s tax product suite, which includes withholding taxes, transaction taxes, tax reporting and relief services across multiple markets. Reporting to the Head of Unit, the role combines product strategy, stakeholder coordination and commercial oversight to ensure the offering remains competitive and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the tax product and service portfolio for the covered markets.
• Coordinate product development with internal teams (operations, IT, legal, compliance) and external partners such as technology providers and tax advisors.
• Manage tax product content, participate in senior stakeholder discussions and support client pitches.
• Assist the unit head with financial oversight, including P&L management, revenue development, sales pipeline and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations by interacting with tax authorities and external providers.
• Participate in client meetings and drive opportunities forward in collaboration with relationship managers and other functions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and regulatory changes to inform product strategy.
• Represent the tax product line in internal committees, industry forums and cross‑functional projects within Clearstream and the broader Deutsche Börse Group.

Required profile

• University degree in Law, Business, Finance or a related field; consultancy experience is a plus.
• At least three years of experience in financial services, preferably in an operational tax or custody environment.
• Experience with international withholding tax matters is desirable.
• Proven ability to manage complex corporate or institutional relationships and drive projects under pressure.
• Strong team orientation and stakeholder management skills.
