Business Development Manager – Vision Care Field Sales

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its Sales & Sales Support function in Czechia. The role focuses on selling specialty retail eye‑care products to independent retailers, chain headquarters, key accounts and hospital networks, while supporting marketing campaigns and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Sell specialty retail products to independent retailers and chain store headquarters.
• Service accounts by proposing new products, arranging displays, and taking orders.
• Achieve sales, productivity and performance targets within set budgets and timelines.
• Develop business plans and execute activities such as customer events, sales campaigns and presentations.
• Provide key‑account and hospital network support, including referral‑network assistance.
• Contribute to promotional fund planning and territory sales forecasting.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of products, strategy, positioning, competitors and market trends.
• Meet contact, coverage and frequency targets through various communication channels.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Follow Alcon’s Code of Conduct and adverse‑event guidelines.

Required profile

• Sales experience in the optical industry or a similar field (preferred).
• Experience selling premium original products where quality is emphasized.
• Positive attitude, business and team spirit, open‑mindedness and motivation to learn.
• Communicative level of English is an advantage.
• Willingness to work in the South Bohemia region (e.g., Tábor, České Budějovice, Benešov, Havlíčkův Brod, Pelhřimov).
