Senior GEO Manager - LLM Search Optimization

About the role

We are looking for a Senior GEO Manager to lead Make’s generative-search visibility strategy. You will shape how our automation platform is cited across large language models such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude, turning visibility data into concrete business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute GEO/AEO strategy to increase correct citations on AI search overviews.
• Set up citation monitoring, track prompt-level appearances and benchmark against competitors.
• Identify and repair gaps in high-trust source citations, restoring reinstated references.
• Collaborate with content teams to build entity-based content clusters and schema that satisfy both crawlers and LLM retrieval.
• Own technical SEO health, including Core Web Vitals, indexation, structured data and overall site health.
• Develop lightweight automation scripts and LLM API integrations to scale audits, competitive tracking and monthly reporting.
• Translate visibility insights into actionable recommendations that drive sign-ups and pipeline growth.

Required profile

• 5+ years of SEO experience, with recent hands-on work on generative/AI search and GEO.
• Comfortable working with technical SEO concepts such as schema, crawl data and Core Web Vitals.
• Evidence-driven mindset; prefers structured experiments over opinion-based debates.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and help shape emerging GEO best practices.
• Business-oriented thinking focused on sign-ups, pipeline and share of voice.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Python or similar scripting language.
• SQL for data extraction (BigQuery, GA4).
• SEO tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console.
• Structured data implementation: schema.org.
• Experience with LLM-citation tracking tools (e.g., Profound, peec.ai) or ability to build custom solutions.
