People & Culture Specialist – Czech Republic & Slovakia

About the role

Fidia is seeking a People & Culture Specialist to support its operations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The role acts as the local HR expert, ensuring compliance with labour legislation, fostering employee engagement, and aligning local practices with global HR strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the local authority on labour law, guaranteeing full legal compliance and mitigating employment risks.
• Manage employee‑relations cases, including conflicts, disciplinary actions and grievances.
• Support the Country Manager on all People & Culture matters and ensure alignment with corporate standards.
• Implement global HR policies, programs and initiatives at the local level.
• Coordinate core HR processes such as performance management, merit reviews, promotions, headcount planning and payroll liaison.
• Lead onboarding and off‑boarding, ensuring smooth transitions and proper documentation.
• Assist talent acquisition efforts and deliver local training and development programmes.
• Provide data‑driven insights and support the rollout of regional HR initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s in HR, Law or Business Administration is a strong plus).
• Specialisation in Czech or Slovak labour law is highly desirable.
• Several years of experience in HR/People & Culture roles with a focus on labour law and employee relations.
• Experience working in multinational environments and collaborating with global HR teams.
• Deep knowledge of local labour legislation and HR compliance.
• Fluent in Czech and Slovak; English proficiency is an advantage.
• High integrity, discretion and professional communication skills.
